2020 Bike to School Week | 2020 Bike to Work Week



Bike to Work Week started in Victoria by a group of volunteers. The first event gathered 500 participants. Since then, the event has grown and now incorporates a school component to motivate students to also Bike to School.

In 2017, more than 56 regions/communities across BC participated with the following stats:

  • 44,523 Participants
  • 27,008 Registered workers
  • 17,515 Registered students
  • 5,858 Workplace teams
  • 1,225,180 Kilometres were cycled
  • 240,980 Kilograms of CO2 were saved from entering the atmosphere
  • 33,343,145 Calories were burned

About Bike to Work Week

Bike to Work Week is a great way to encourage co-workers to try cycling to work at least one day during the week of the event. People who bike to work quote benefits of being less stressed, more relaxed and rejuvenated, and experience increased sense of well-being.

About Bike to School Week

Bike to School Week is a free and fun week-long celebration of biking to school taking place May 28 - June 3, 2018. Bike to School Week is a chance for Schools throughout British Columbia to encourage and celebrate students and their families cycling to school. 2018 Posters and Participation Trackers

Click on the poster or participation tracker to download a printable copy. For workplaces, hang posters in your lunch room and staff areas and put a participation tracker out for people to track their trips. Schools can do the same (scroll down for school posters and participation trackers).
